What is Rashi Jal?

Since early in the history, man observed the cycles that plants have when they grow according to their seasons. Astrology and botany are complementary to nature. The myths surrounding the plants, their medicinal properties given from Mother Nature, unseen cycles that connect many different factors in our world gave ideas to some astrology concepts such as: Druid Horoscope, Celtic Tree Calendar, Indian Vedic Systems Jyotish Shastra (Vastu Shastra), Ayurvedic studies, and many others. They all have similar idea of a connection between time of year, plant growth, and the cycles of the stars in the sky: the zodiac. Similarly, medicinal plants/herbs are also used in astrology to get relief from inauspicious results of malefic planets.

Use of plants for medicinal purposes was linked to astrology by many early herbalists. Paracelsus – a Swiss-German Renaissance physician, botanist, alchemist, and astrologer declared that a physician should be predestinated to the cure of his patient and the horoscope should be inspected, with the plants gathered at the critical moment.

Astrology deals with the interpretation of an individual’s natal chart. The astrological chart is built from the Earth’s two distinct movements:
– its rotation around the Sun, which results in the cycle of the seasons and the length of daytime throughout the year
– its rotation around its own axis, which rules the alternation of day and night.

  Indian Vedic System of Astrology Jyotish Shastra mentions trees that correspond 12 Zodiac signs (Rasi, or Raasi). According to this belief, positive energies come to one who plants his/her Rasi plant which will bring this person good luck and prosperity.
